In a recent report in the guardian newspaper, Ian Sample, the science editor wrote about scientists who indicate that there may be a planet orbiting at the outer edges of our galaxy, the milky way. John Peel Day 2013

One of the bands John Peel made popular on these shores: Calexico from Tuscon, Arizona. John Peel became a popular feature to music fans in Germany around the turn of the millennium when Radio 1, a Berlin-based radio station began broadcasting the Peel Sessions, old and new. It was through this channel that Calexico found their way into German radio and became immensely popular in the Fatherland.
